Ratso Recording & Music
promoted RCB and released the EP compact disc, "After
the Fire", early in 1996. RCB played Alternative
Hard Rock with a big sound influenced by the great rock
and metal bands of the 80's and the alternative revolution
of the 90's.RCB
returned to the hard-driving basics of the three-piece format
-- crunching guitar riffs, soaring vocals, biting bass lines,
and solid steady grooves.
Guitarist Rick Cittar plugged his Strat into a JCM
900 Marshall and played a warm, crunching guitar tone at
jet decibel levels.

As the composer and lead vocalist, he
sang with a passion and presence that told stories of life
and fantasy, of reality and illusion. Andy Hewett's
pounding bass lines propelled the music supported by Scott
Irwin's driving drum work.

| RCB
gigged throughout the Bay Area and beyond, and after two years
of working, and limited success and support, decided to retire
the band and the concept. Rick, Scott, and Andy had a lot
of great times making music together, and went through some
pretty incredible experiences while playing as RCB.
"After The Fire" is their legacy to those times,
and will forever remain a record of their lives and their
musical vision. |
