Featuring the musical talents of guitarist/vocalist Rick Cittar, drummer/vocalist Scott Irwin, and at various times guitarist/vocalist Mark Ungar, bassists Menno Meringa and Mark Ackerman, and keyboardist/vocalist David James, Random Men held sway in Bay Area clubs from 1984 to 1994. Featuring an irresistibly danceable repertoire of popular cover tunes as well as a slate of modern rock originals, Random Men were in regular rotation at 19 Broadway in Fairfax, Hobie's Road House in Concord, and the Green Lantern in Hayward, as well as a host of other venues, festivals and special events.
